About Portland:

Portland is a beautiful island joined to the mainland by the famous Chesil Beach.  There are many sights to see, Portland Bill, Pirates Graveyard, Verne Prison and Portland Museum to name but a few.  Of course there are the beautiful Coastal Paths all around the island.

About the caravan:

The caravan itself is modern and sleeps 6, it has all the mod-cons including a fully-fitted kitchen, shower with toilet and sink, gas heating, Sky Freeview, parking space (by the side of the caravan) and more.

There is also decking with this caravan to relax on and enjoy the beautiful views.  From here you can see Church Ope Cove, which has its very own pebbled beach available for you to use, you also have uninterrupted panoramic sea views where you can see many sea vessels pass including fishing & pleasure boats, ships and the Condor Ferry which visits the Channel Islands daily (from Weymouth).

About the site:

The site is a five star quiet holiday park and has it's own rules that must be followed.  No extreme noise levels after midnight.  You must not park in any other caravan's parking space.  If you have more than one car or have visitors you must use the car park at the entrance of the site.

The site has its own launderette, minimarket, games room and pay-phone.

About the surrounding areas:

Weymouth is on a bus route approximately 7 miles away where you can visit its beautiful beach, harbour and town centre.  Dorchester (the county-town of Dorset) is 14 miles away, it has everything you'd need for a lovely day out.  There are plenty of local shops, pubs, supermarkets, banks etc on Portland for your convenience.

A 50% deposit is required on booking.

Pay remainder by cheque 3 weeks prior to your holiday start date.

  • Arrival Day/Time:  Saturday 2.00pm onwards.
  • Departure Day/Time:  Saturday 11.00 am.

If the above times are not suitable please contact us as soon as possible after booking and we try to accommodate you. 

Pillows and quilts are provided you must bring sheets, pillow cases and  towels.

There is a King size bed in the main bedroom. There is a double futon in the lounge and 2 single beds in the twin bedroom.

For any electrical/gas emergencies please contact the Park Warden or Park Office.  The telephone numbers will be left in the caravan.
